Software Engineer at Meta

Hey, I'm Anish.
I make ads a little smarter for a living.

Georgia Tech grad, now living in San Francisco and working on Meta's Ads ML team. Before that I was moving data around at AWS and poking at malware at GTRI. Outside of work I build iOS apps and mess around with machine learning.

Experience

Where I've worked.

Software Engineer

Meta

Feb 2025 – present · Menlo Park, CA

Working on Ads ML, mostly around helping models learn from what actually happens after someone sees an ad, not just the click.

Software Development Engineer Intern

AWS

May 2024 – Aug 2024 · Seattle, WA

Spent the summer automating metadata replication across 30+ regions on tables with 200M+ items each, and got the slowest region's latency way down. Also built out the testing, metrics, and alerting for the whole pipeline.

Software Engineering Intern

GTRI

Jun 2023 – Apr 2024 · Atlanta, GA

Worked alongside researchers on cyber threat analysis, building tooling to visualize threat trends across different data sources. Got to use React, Python, and Rust for malware inspection and DNS traffic analysis.

President

GITMAD

Aug 2022 – Dec 2024 · Atlanta, GA

Led Georgia Tech's mobile app development club for two and a half years, ran workshops, coordinated project teams, and worked with corporate partners on events. Membership more than tripled while I was president.

Projects

Things I've built.

A mix of shipped apps and machine learning projects, done for fun or for research.

01 · iOS App

ApexSet: a native iOS workout tracker.

Logs a set in one thumb, then shows how your lifts compare to real population strength standards, Beginner through Elite. 100% offline, no accounts, no ads, no trackers. Built end-to-end in Swift.

02 · Machine Learning

Categorizing Federal Reserve press releases.

Developer on a vertically integrated project at the Financial Services Innovation Lab that uses machine learning to categorize Federal Reserve press releases for market research. Owned development, code reviews, and project planning.

Georgia Tech FSIL · Jan 2024 – Dec 2024
Fed Press Releases
Classified by category using an ML pipeline built for market researchers

03 · Machine Learning

Classifying solar flares with 99.4% accuracy.

Used Scikit-Learn to classify solar flares from vector magnetic field data across 8,874 solar records collected between May 2010 and December 2019, selecting key features to reach 99.4% predictive accuracy.
